For the same reason the RTX 3000 line disappeared within a second after its release: scalpers and automated buyers purchased the whole batch to resell on platforms like eBay and Amazon at extremely low prices. Just noticed it wasn’t the 5000 series you were referring to. That’s what @Emergence177013 mentioned—CPUs are really in demand these days, so more people are buying them.
