Currently the Skyrim 2 humor from several years back seems more believable.

It wouldn’t be unexpected if ES:6 returns to Skyrim, given how much Bethesda appears to cherish it.
I've spent quite a lot of time on ESO, so I'm really keen on a big Elder Scrolls adventure spanning multiple continents. Places like Elsweyr, Skyrim, and Black Marsh would all fit perfectly. While the scope might be too vast for a solo experience, I think Bethesda could handle it smoothly.
I don't agree. Most Bethesda open-world titles feature relatively limited environments compared to other expanses. Increasing the terrain size too much could diminish world quality and reduce variety. I prefer a compact setting with rich activities and exploration opportunities.
A development team is handling that objective now... https://beyondskyrim.org/ The initial phase... Bruma (northern Cyrodiil) will launch on the first.
This would require a massive effort, likely using checkpoints or caravans. I thought vanilla Skyrim offered plenty of adventure through caves and initial areas, but expanding it further would be tough. If they attempted it, they might have some content already completed from earlier releases.
The game contains some solid concepts, though they lose effectiveness as time passes.
