I've been going through this intense chat on Facebook about 1080p at 60fps being entry-level for gaming. Is that correct? I remember seeing a setup where a high-end rig ran a gaming PC with an i5 7600K CPU and GTX 1060 to hit 60fps—could I be misunderstanding? Please clarify, thanks!

Entry level varies a lot. Even with high settings, 1080@60 is still considered entry level, but you can reach that with less than 1060 on most games.

Starting at about $500 is a good range for you. For that price, you could achieve 1080p at 60 frames per second with "maybe" medium settings in titles like BF1 and similar games. The resolution isn't the main factor; it's more about the graphics settings.

When checking monitors available now, 1080p at 60Hz dominates the selection.

I've been testing my FPS with a locked setting at 60 and all ultra options on a 1920x1080 screen for a while now. I won't upgrade until one GPU can match that at 4K. This change will really affect my budget with the GPU and monitor together.
