I just bought a Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, silicon power, and a Gigabyte B550 M.3 DS3H AC revision 1.3 motherboard. I installed everything along with a 500W power supply from another build. I hooked up a speaker to the board for beeps but didn’t hear any. The GPU doesn’t send any signal through HDMI, and there’s no connection to anything else. My previous GPU was a Sapphire Radeon 5600X; even my old Radeon RX580 isn’t working. I also noticed USB ports aren’t supplying power to get a keyboard in, making it hard to access BIOS. I’ve re-seated everything—GPUs, CPU, ATX cable, 12V CPU cable. I reset the CMOS multiple times and even used QFLASH to update the BIOS, but nothing changed. I even tried removing the RAM to see if it would make a difference. The BIOS USB port works fine when all else is off, but power isn’t getting through. I’m really frustrated and anxious because I need this system for a job application. I can’t afford a new build. I don’t even know what’s wrong—might be the motherboard, the CPU, or the PSU. I wish I could try my older Ryzen 5 1600, but it won’t fit either. I’m at my limit trying to fix this. Edit: I forgot the ATX pin on the 24-pin PSU is missing both the 5V and -12V connectors, which the manual says are required. Not sure if that’s causing all these issues.

The 500W power supply worked fine back then, but now it lacks pins. Upgrade to a better one—it’s essential for your computer’s performance.

I contacted gigabyte support via email to find out if the problem might relate to the motherboard. After checking reviews, I noticed several users reported similar issues with the board, sometimes involving the PSU or CPU as well.

IF YOUR DEVICE LACKS SUFFICIENT CONNECTORS FOR THE MB, THEN IT'S THE POWER SUPPLY UNIT. Users can leave feedback ranging from -10 to +10, and you're here for genuine technical help—not just personal opinions.

I swapped out the PSU and everything functions now. The issue I faced before was a blank screen when installing AMD drivers, showing BIOS. When I reverted to standard drivers, the BIOS appeared again. It’s puzzling why this happens now. Previously, it caused a BIOS display but wasn’t a major concern. This isn’t a critical problem just a minor inconvenience. I’m relieved the system is working and avoided having to return anything.

I see what you mean about "see bios." Drivers for AMD load once you're in the operating system and won't interfere with starting BIOS before the OS boots. If you're referring to Radeon Settings not launching at startup, there are solutions for faulty drivers—something I've faced myself. Since AMD isn't resolving it, you'll need to adjust settings manually. One tip is to relocate or remove the C:\AMD folder from the C: drive after installation; this helped with the 22.6.1 issue but caused problems temporarily.

What you're describing involves unusual behavior with BIOS settings. I see using the Windows shortcut or pressing DEL to access BIOS sometimes results in a blank screen. After removing the AMD display driver and switching to the standard Windows driver, the BIOS still appears on the screen. This unexpected occurrence is quite puzzling for me.

I've been considering it might be a signature problem, though most AMD users use WHQL. During UEFI boot, can you press the BIOS key while the KB lights appear until you reach BIOS? Have you connected a power cable from your PSU to your GPU? Try using another wire. What is your current GPU model when listing the Radeon Rx-580?

I’m working with a Sapphire 5600xt. It used to run smoothly on a 4GV RX580, which is why I consider it outdated. Recently, the BIOS splash screen has appeared unexpectedly, but I can’t access it when I really need to. Windows loads fine without any issues. I’m trying to recall the last driver version before the hardware failure, as everything functioned normally then. Interestingly, the drivers installed with the latest Windows updates seem to load correctly. The problem appears to be linked to the outdated versions—if I have to, I’ll look up older builds that work with my games and BIOS. Right now it’s just an inconvenience I’d like to resolve.
