I just completed assembling a new PC but my Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 is showing a red VGA light and isn’t posting. The GPU (Gigabyte 9070 X) is spinning, and I’ve unplugged and plugged everything back in plus reseated the GPU. What should I do next?

There is a decent chance that your motherboard needs a BIOS update for the Ryzen 9700x to work as its a B650 motherboard. The Ryzen 9700x is only supported on BIOS Version F30 and later. If your motherboard is on BIOS F1,F2,F3,F4 or F5, it won't post. The motherboard does support the Gigabyte QFlash method so you can update the BIOS without a supported CPU. This is where I would start, update the BIOS.

You need to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. If you're unsure, consult a professional or refer to the official documentation for guidance.

You'll need a USB flash drive with 4-32GB capacity using FAT32 format. An older USB drive from 2007 works fine if you have one. Drives over 32GB typically don't support FAT32. You'll also need a PC laptop to download the BIOS file. It might look a bit tricky, but it's actually simple once you get the hang of it. If you have more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
