I notice I'm spending more time playing games on consoles. My current setup is a decent rig, but I don't play much. I'm now browsing more and working from home a lot—coding or video editing too. I'm thinking about switching to Unix/Linux in 2018. My main concern is support; I use four monitors, a GTX 1080ti, and an external sound card that doubles as two KRK Studio monitors. Have support improved for motherboards, networking gear, audio devices, printing, scanning, or webcams?

The main concerns seem to be the audio device and the Hue+ integration. Depending on the operating system, you might need to install Nvidia drivers or adjust them. For Ubuntu, Pop!_OS is a good option as it includes functional drivers. I found a script for Hue+ on GitHub (https://github.com/kusti8/hue-plus), though I haven't tested it myself. For the audio, a similar Tascam model works but recording isn't available yet. You should also turn on trim; instructions are here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/18903/ho...nable-trim. It might help to make a bootable USB to test your chosen OS beforehand.
