Reporting 1330 instead of 1333 is due to BCLK not being precisely at 100MHz—often around 99.7MHz. The intended value should be 1333, not 2666, because DDR requires data to be sent twice per clock cycle. At 1333MHz, the system effectively operates at 2666MHz, similar to a 2666MHz SDR memory. This detail is unrelated to memory channels.

It has 3200 RAM, but it should be 1600. Also, I find it annoying how Intel handles things these days—H310 is capped at 2666, which limits its performance to around 1333. I don’t recall that clearly, as they’ve definitely muddled the details.

Unless you purchase a Z-series motherboard, 2666Mhz offers the best performance possible. This feels a bit ironic since XMP is an Intel feature.

Yeah, that's not great. Intel isn't making moves to attract customers when they could gain every advantage possible. That's really disappointing. Based on what we've discussed, stick with your 2666, which is limited only by the GPU's capabilities. If you're considering a CL16 at 3200, you might see some improvement, but it would likely be minimal and could introduce stability problems. RAM overclocking can be tricky, but if you're interested, check out this guide: https://github.com/integralfx/MemTestHel...aster/DDR4 OC Guide.md. It won't push speeds much higher, but you can reduce latency and tweak voltage. Still, I think it's probably not worth the effort.

The biggest twist is their K-series chips, which are promoted for overclocking potential—though they’re actually quite capable of it. Still, if you mention overclocking during a return or repair, they might try to force an OC on the CPU. Intel seems to be playing a tricky game with consumers right now. AMD has its own issues (like the Zen1’s RAM quirks and limited overclocking options), but at least they don’t force customers to buy higher-end parts by restricting RAM speed artificially.

That's because when you purchase an Intel chip for competitive overclocking purposes, you go ahead and buy into that warranty plan that protects against an OC failure. Very useful when using LN2 on a chip and you decide 2.1v seems to be the way to go lol. https://tuningplan.intel.com/

The warranty applies universally. I tested the worst scenario that could potentially damage an Intel chip, which is extremely challenging under normal everyday conditions.

I'm not sure if H310 reaches 2666 max, but it definitely can't go over that limit. Many units with 2666 LGA 1200 support still have their top speeds capped.
