I'm working with a rig that's a mobo: an ASUS Prime B450M-A II with the latest BIOS installed. The system has a CPU of AMD Ryzen 5 5600, 16 GB RAM, and an ASRock RX6600XT thermals smart card. I followed all the steps on the PC, removed the SSD, downgraded to one RAM stick, and checked every cable. The HDMI connection still doesn't work.
I completed every action before the note mentions trying again.
Where can I find the machine specifications and the mini dump?
Directly out of the box, everything looks perfect. My motherboard is an ASUS Prime B450M-A II with the latest BIOS installed. The CPU runs AMD Ryzen 5 5600, there are 16 GB of RAM, and the GPU is an ASRock RX6600XT Thermaltake Smart. I’ve already unplugged all cables—everything connects fine to other devices, and the HDMI cable works too.
You received results for not citing. Checking the Ryzen3 on B450 setup. I tend to assume everything is done right. Verify the BIOS is up-to-date. Look for any post codes. Updated February 3, 2023 by Bombastinator
Board doesn’t allow using post codes since there’s no buzzer for installation, and this information is also found on the latest update from the Support page.
It seems like this setup should have included a speaker by default unless it was an original equipment manufacturer build. It looks like it needs to meet ATX standards. Most budget boards these days do follow that, though older ones might be limited to AM4 and not necessarily that old. If you don’t have one, buying a speaker on AliExpress adds a few dollars. They usually connect to the case and are mainly for postcode identification—though that wasn’t always required. There are beep codes, light codes, and code readers involved. I recall it needed at least one of those to be considered ATX-compliant. I haven’t heard of a board without a postcode system before.

Vga and dvi outputs appear on the iGP video interface. This setup is outdated, similar to the analog-to-digital transition era. You’ll likely need an adapter or an older monitor to work with iGP (AGP). If lights aren’t working, expect beep codes. There’s also a code reader port for debugging, though its exact designation isn’t clear. I observed the device once—it’s quite old. I’ll continue searching. Without post codes, it’s hard to confirm functionality or pinpoint issues.
