Hey, could any of you help me please? I bought a new monitor AOC C27G2ZU to connect to my gaming laptop to upgrade my FPS and resolution in games since my old monitor was a basic Full HD/75Hz and I wanted to keep the old one as a second (third including laptop screen) monitor. I encoutered 2 diferent problems that I failed to deal with myself. 1. I could not get my new monitor run on 1440p and 240Hz simultaniously. After a bit of googling I found out HDMI cables have a limited bandwidth to accomodate for these things and my laptop doesn't have a display port to connect that way. First, I bought HDMI to Display Port cable but it seems to only work one way, where the display port end goes in the computer which my laptop (MSI GF75 Thin 10SDR) doesn't have. Secondly, I bought the best HDMI cable possible which was advertise to be able to handle 1440p on 240Hz without any issues. When I connected the monitor through this cable, no change. Either I choose 1080p on 120Hz max or 1440p on 60Hz. 2. I cannot connect my old monitor as a third monitor. Since my laptop only has 1 HDMI port I needed another option to connect my old monitor. First, I bought HDMI to USB-C adapter to connect through the USB-C port on my laptop. Same as with the display port it only seems to work the other way around. Secondly, I found a HDMI splitter that was advertised to split 1 Input into 2 Outputs. Ideal for my situation so I got one, connected everything and the problem here was, while it connects both monitors, my laptop only recognises one resulting in the duplicated desktop on both monitors without any option to extend, rather than duplicate.
