7700x rig is fine. Only minor hiccups with the GPU. Every week it drops to 720p at startup—just resize it. Gameplay remains great, especially with Ark, Smalland, and Pathfinder: Righteous. Overall very satisfied, started in October last year.
Check out Hardware Unboxed's review of AM5 MB products. They highlight some brands with RAM problems while others perform perfectly. I own a Gigabyte DH3 that ran at 6000/CL30 without any issues after turning on XMP. I also used RAM from the approved list. This isn't a Ryzen problem, it's more about the memory itself. Edit: boot time was impressively fast—just seconds from powering up to Windows 11. The performance is outstanding. The HUB also recorded very short boot times, consistently showing significant differences. Once again, this points to an MB issue.
I don't have a CPU, but I'm here to help with any questions you might have!
Check your BIOS for a memory configuration option. If you see settings related to RAM or memory context, that’s likely what you’re looking for.
They tried a new ASRock budget board that ran even quicker. However, BIOS updates could shift the winner. In my BIOS I just had to turn on XMP (yes, even for an AMD board, it works with Intel XMP since my RAM only supported XMP). That single switch raised speed from 4800/CL40 to the listed 6000/CL30. No further tweaks were required. I also checked in Windows using HWInfo64.
