They overlooked the VRM cooling aspect, focusing more on the chips. Disappointing, as most Buildzoid clips show him criticizing companies that don’t create even basic VRM designs. The result is a bulky, airflow-blocking piece with no fins or surface area. They should partner with a firm to develop proper VRM heatsinks for their boards, rather than using a generic, inefficient brick.

The Asrock X570M Pro4 could work with the 3900X at stock clocks, but there are compatibility concerns. The Gigabyte X570I Aorus Pro ITX you mentioned isn’t suited for your Thermaltake V21 case due to backplate and standoff issues.

The backplate for attaching the stock cooler? Just discard it and purchase a cooler that doesn’t require it. The performance gap between the Asrock Pro4 and Gigabyte ITX is significant enough that I’m not giving up anytime soon.

The board features a backplate that causes problems with the standoffs in this situation. The issue involves bumps instead of pins, requiring the board's back to align precisely with the bump tops. On the X570 Aorus Pro ITX, screw holes are recessed 3-4mm from the back, preventing a flush fit. I'm searching for a suitable mATX or ITX board without this design flaw.
