Curious about the freezing issue?
I'm using Windows 11 and for a while now, games that I play work fine for a short time but then freeze. The rest of the system runs smoothly, and the game just stops without crashing or closing normally. This isn't limited to certain titles or games, and it doesn't affect other resource-heavy programs. I have a GTX 1070 with 1080p at 60fps, an Intel i7-6700k, and a Samsung 950 Pro with 256GB SSDs plus two HDDs.
Have you attempted standard troubleshooting steps? Reinstalled drivers, verified cables, cleared dust from the PC? Also, review Event Viewer for application or system logs. What are your temperatures? Excess heat might trigger a crash. Are you playing on an HDD or SSD? Sharing detailed specs could help further.
Did you need to make any special adjustments to set up Win 11? There’s a slight risk of compatibility problems. You might want to use HWiNFO to collect detailed sensor data and check for unusual behavior during game freezes. If you’re using dual-channel memory, try swapping one stick and see if the issue continues on the other. This could indicate memory corruption under high usage.
