I've noticed unusual delays in CS:S and CS:GO lately, especially during conversations or when using grenades. This issue seemed to appear suddenly a few months ago, though I can't recall if it was linked to a game update or graphics driver changes. I haven't updated my graphics card drivers yet and plan to do so once the downloads are available (my internet speed is limited). Could you share any similar experiences? Also, did other games or services like Discord work normally around the same time?

Hmm, unclear about your message. If your internet is causing the voice issue, it might differ from typical games or chat services.

Your current ping in CS:GO is quite high, similar to other games you play. It seems your lag mostly comes from the game itself rather than your internet speed. You're noticing this consistently, and it's bothering you since you haven't found a reliable solution yet.

Well, my connection isn't great for clarity and it used to jump from around 40 to 140. The issue isn't just the link—it was that my game froze for about 5 seconds in the CSGO lobby when someone else was talking.

You noticed unusual performance changes after switching your audio settings. It seems the adjustment affected your system's resource usage and caused unexpected delays during conversations or ambient sounds. Let me know what happens next!

APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT FROM ALL WHO HELPED; IT TURNS OUT THE PROBLEM ISN'T RELATED TO THE INTERNET, UPDATES, OR DRIVERS. I've noticed over time that my hard drive appears to be failing, which might be the root cause of these strange issues. I'll close this thread and move forward, but I want to thank everyone for their valuable suggestions—they really helped narrow things down.
