GO, but you're worried about the cost and time commitment. It's understandable to feel hesitant when you're unsure if it's worth the investment. Many players find it challenging, especially with competitive servers, which can make it tough to enjoy the game. The experience varies a lot depending on skill level and server balance. Your friend's short session might reflect that frustration, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's not worth trying if you're interested.

My friend attempted to convince me to play it, but I ignored them since I don’t enjoy those kinds of games, lol.

It depends. For many CS gamers, it’s not worth it. A lot of time is spent on skins and betting. It’s more of a competitive game than a fun one. You might enjoy it, but if you’re not skilled, you risk losing everything.

I strongly disagree with that view. In CSGO, death usually happens because the opponent was superior. In COD/BF, it’s often just a matter of skill and strategy. Most people agree on this.

I personally find the gaming aspect less appealing, but I really enjoy the experience. I don’t play constantly, and sometimes I skip it for months, though I’ve had some great moments there. Around 186 hours have passed for me, and I’m far from as passionate about it as others. I’d suggest giving it a try.

I enjoy CSGO, though I usually don’t encounter a lot of nonsense. Of course, you’ll have some games here and there, but overall it’s pretty smooth.
