CSGO VS DOTA 2
CSGO VS DOTA 2
Which game do you prefer? Which one has more money and which would you choose to play if you could? Updated February 8, 2016 by Godlygamer23
CS is growing, yet the bulk of funds remain focused on Dota. This shift won't happen soon—at least a year from now. Dota stays Valves' top priority currently.
Could a 15 million dollar tournament ever materialize for CS?
Great start on the caps lock, thanks! Officially it might take a couple of years before this happens. I’m curious if Valve might raise the price to one million instead of 250k for the main events, but not beyond that. Most of the funds will likely come from stickers. With Turner’s TV network running its own 1 million dollar league, I imagine Valve could back it up by letting fans buy stickers for those games. As far as I recall, the biggest major last year (ESL One Cologne) had a total payout of 4.2 million, even though only 250k was in price money. The rest came from stickers and signatures. Dota remains Valve’s top priority and is expected to stay that way soon.
You know, growing up you’ll never reach pro levels in these things. I saw a really educational documentary and learned that kids in Korea and China have structured programs for this. One student just wanted to be pro, so if he didn’t succeed, things got tough. He was working 88+ hours a week and the discipline was intense when mistakes happened.
Dota 2 offers fewer cheats, larger prize pools, and a wider audience compared to League. However, League remains the top PC game today.
It could be possible, but you're approaching this question incorrectly. You might miss out on significant rewards if you don't know which game to choose. People don't play pro just because they get paid; you must genuinely love the game enough to invest 10+ hours daily and keep playing despite losing against others.
