I recently reset my PC, reinstalling Windows and programs, and installed CS:GO. I now experience significant FPS drops during gameplay, averaging 300-350 FPS before the reset. I have attempted various troubleshooting steps without success.

My system specifications are as follows: CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.70GHz, GPU: GeForce 1070ti, RAM: 16GB, OS: Windows 10, SSD: Samsung SSD 960 EVO 1TB x2. I am open to providing additional specifications if needed and plan to test other games to determine if the issue is game-specific.

Monitor for thermal throttling or HDD/SSD at 100% usage. Run HWMon/info instances under idle and full load, posting screenshots of both. Configure MSI Afterburner OSD to display CPU Usage/temps, GPU usage/temps, system RAM usage, and FPS with frame time variance. Observe this during gameplay, noting any instances of 100% usage. If overclocking is present, revert to stock clock speeds for both the CPU and GPU.

Update Windows fully. One update recently caused random FPS drops in games; I will check for a KB article. Try these solutions and see if they help: http://blog.drivethelife.com/windows-10/...pdate.html

Thank you for your assistance. Nothing appears to resolve the issue. Since posting, I've obtained further information indicating that the problem isn’t limited to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive; I am uncertain about the cause.

During an MSI Afterburner test, no anomalous activity was detected. A guide and instructions on utilizing the HWMonitor tool, including details regarding specific tabs, are requested.

The issue is resolved; it stemmed from a faulty SSD, and relocating the game to another drive successfully addressed the problem. Thank you for your previous suggestions and assistance.
