CSGO still relevant?
So most of my French friends enjoy CSGO, but I'm unsure if it's worth buying. My shooting game experience is limited to a few titles like Cause 3, GTA 5, Mafia 3, and Watch Dogs 2. I've only played story modes for Watch Dogs 2 and Mafia 3, plus Cause 3 and GTA V, which I just downloaded a completed save from. I'm familiar with crates and knives, but I don't know much else. Do you have any idea about guns or other weapons? P.S. I also played some Bo3, but only multiplayer without story modes.
CS:GO remains a top choice for many players today, with continuous updates and a strong community presence. It’s unlikely to become obsolete due to regular improvements and its long-standing player base since 1998. The game’s appeal also stems from the perception that it offers exciting challenges similar to professional paintball—fast-paced, skill-intensive, and requiring quick strategy adjustments. Planning for future scenarios and managing resources are essential elements of the experience.
It relates to the evolution of multiplayer experiences over time. The game has seen shifts in player numbers and community engagement across different eras. There are ongoing servers available for the next few years, supporting players who joined earlier or participated during past cycles. Success depends on your commitment and willingness to invest time. The focus is on mastering gameplay mechanics, understanding maps, and improving skills rather than relying on luck.
Everything is in balance for competitive CSGO matches, and the items you receive are mainly for looks. You’ll likely face a steep learning curve if you’re not used to FPS games, which isn’t necessarily a negative thing. Start with casual gameplay and deathmatch to get comfortable, then move on to competitive mode. This game doesn’t have a story component—just focuses on multiplayer action.
