Hey there! I just got CS:GO and I'm totally new to it. I've never played a game on a PC before—it's a bit strange using a keyboard, right? I'm trying to figure out the best settings, keyboard and mouse setup, and how to play well. I set the video quality to high and turned off Vertical Sync and Motion Blue. I'm checking out some YouTube tutorials, but I'd love to hear any tips or advice from you. Thanks!

You must keep practicing to improve. Don’t quit when things don’t go well. Set your mouse sensitivity between 400-800DPI and adjust your in-game settings to around 1-2. Reducing the sensitivity helps you aim more precisely. Watch tutorials and videos of skilled players, and if possible, play with friends who are a bit stronger than you so you can learn from them.

Take off Vsync, play with low/medium settings for most settings, trust me it helps. War Owl will help you if you're silver or less, after that no real reason to watch him. Watch pro games, I learned a lot from that. Try to learn the spray patterns of guns, though I never really could, and look at me I got to DMG Try to find a good sensitivity, there are plenty of custom maps for that. Play lots of casual before playing competitive, trust me it helps. Learn callouts for maps before playing them, it'll save your team a lot of salt. The community can be pretty AIDS at times. If you feel like dicking around, do it on a third party service where people don't lose their beloved rank when you do it. Australians are a lot of fun to play with, also fuck with. Trust me, Faceit q'ing for Australia (I live in US) is a blast, because they take it really well, and it's fun to bitch about ping. Find a good custom crosshair, it works wonders, don't do cases, it's AIDS. Oh, and when people tell you that you don't deserve your rank, you probably don't. But keep in mind, they probably don't either. And just have fun, seriously

I have a resource for beginners, though some terms might not be clear yet. Being in school means I won’t be able to share the link directly, but I remember the Steam section labeled "Guides." You can also connect with me and I’ll help with any questions or explain things in-game. www.steamcommunity.com/id/tehdunta

Unfortunately in the MGE I often see players who don’t use a mic or don’t speak during games.

Hey, just letting you know I'll look into it later. I'm placing an order for my headphones and microphone, either now or tomorrow, aiming to have them by the weekend.
