CS:GO Resolution Issues on Windows 7
CS:GO Resolution Issues on Windows 7
Upon launching Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and either exiting the game or using ALT+TAB to switch applications, my computer's desktop resolution is consistently displayed as 1024x768. Despite remaining actively engaged within the game at a higher resolution of 1920x1080, the desktop persistently reverts to this smaller size. The sole solution to restore 1920x1080 involves either disconnecting from Windows or restarting the game.
Attempting to adjust the desktop resolution via right-clicking and selecting "Screen Resolution," with 1920x1080 (recommended) as the target, frequently results in a momentary black screen followed by an immediate return to 1024x768 when choosing "Keep settings" or "Revert."
I have attempted to resolve this issue by reinstalling my graphics drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and completely re-installing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive along with all of its associated configuration files within the Steam folder. This behavior does not occur with any other games I have installed.
My system specifications are: Intel Core i5-7500, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and Windows 7 64-bit.
VibranceGUI is a potential solution.

Yes, that was correct, thank you. I'll likely remove it as a program running at startup to prevent similar issues. A simple restart of the application resolved the problem.
