Last evening something unusual occurred with me. I tried my first CS:GO match, but my ping stayed below 60. When I switched to the second game, it spiked rapidly to over 500ms. I reset both my PC and router, rejoined just in time, and the issue persisted. Usually I'd attribute this to a bad server or connection problems, but it was strange when I was offline and on the kill cam—my ping was only 53ms, with rounds starting at 55+/- and then climbing past 500ms as I moved. It's nearly unplayable! I'm hoping someone here can help identify the cause. To make matters worse, if I played an arms race or casual game, my ping would have been ideal. It looked like it was only an issue in Comp mode. Anyone else have experienced this? I've already upgraded my CL_uprate to 128, though my FPS remains capped at 300, and it didn't reflect on my network graph.

Wi-fi is off, so a download is happening. If everything stops, switch to game settings and adjust the ping for the region.

It was connected to the local network at maximum performance. What stood out was that my connection had no issues, even though speed tests showed excellent results. There were no downloads active, and it felt like the server disliked me.
