Are there any resources that suggest ideal configurations for your PC to run CS:GO smoothly? I'm facing frequent frame drops and lag, which waste time and frustrate me. I've seen many YouTube guides, but I consistently struggle to reach 60 frames. My performance swings between 90 and 35-40 depending on conditions. Even after restarting, I see different frame rates each time. Despite having a decent spec—C2Q 8300, 4GB RAM, R9 280X—I haven't managed steady 60fps. I've prioritized CS:GO and allocated full CPU resources to it. What else can I do to consistently hit that performance target? TL;dr: it seems challenging to maintain a stable 60fps regardless of settings.

Naaah then i'd see the fog and dust and rain and such stuff that would obstruct me from seeing enemies. Although it would be logical to do that, since there's no fps difference
