Recent update: Everything functions properly. I returned to my previous Windows 10 setup (made sure to remove Intel drivers and install AMD). _______________________________________________________________ Greetings, everyone – when attempting to start CS:GO it briefly turns the display black for a second before shutting down. Problem: Cannot launch CS:GO (DX9 title) – critical failure: Unable to connect with local Steam Client process! (This issue mainly affects Valve titles). Steam indicates no updates are available. Solutions tried: Placing my old Windows 10 drive, reinstalling the game, updating Steam, and enabling/disabling administrator mode on both CS:GO and Steam. Also, using AMD Radeon tools in Windows is causing this error (DxDiag log attached). _______________________________________________________________ Hello all – I require assistance. I upgraded from an i7 9700K to an R5 7600X and my system is experiencing frequent stutters across BIOS, Windows, and audio. I’m unsure why this happened; I suspect the CPU cooler might have been tightened too much, but I’ll check that later. If anyone has suggestions or observed similar symptoms, please share. For more details, feel free to ask. TL;DR – Upgraded hardware is causing stuttering in Windows and BIOS (around 20Hz). Audio also suffers from abrupt cuts. Fixes tried: removed the PCIe riser cable – thank you. 191x7 – tested but didn’t resolve. Rebooted BIOS, updated fTPM, enabled/disabled EXPO profile, Safe Mode with RAM. Ram stick note: ignore if the color appears purple, as it might relate to my phone. VID_20221214224628 (1).mp4

Hardware: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X – drivers installed, running normally.
Bios: Updated to version 1.07+.
Storage: Samsung SSD 850 PRO, 256GB.
Windows: Windows 10 v22H2, Passmark link provided.

Best regards, Shade

Hey there! Are you curious about changing your OS drive from an i7-9700K setup to a newer 7600X build? It’s a good idea to format the drive and reinstall the operating system during platform upgrades, especially for drivers.

Have you verified every link? The brief silences suggest a possible grounding problem.

I don't have a specific choice in mind, but I can suggest options based on your needs.

Avoid using the PCI-E riser cable. These connections may lead to problems if damaged or outdated, like with a PCI-E3 riser in a PCI-E5 slot on a PCI-E4 card.

VERTICAL MOUNT refers to placing the GPU in a vertical orientation on the GPU card. It’s about how the graphics card is positioned for better performance or compatibility. You mentioned sticking with Windows 10 until Windows 11 becomes more stable, so you’re focusing on optimizing your system now. Removing unnecessary files from your memory and making sure your GPU drivers are up to date will help. Also, check your monitor’s refresh rate—look for Freesync support if you want smoother visuals.

Fixed the issue with stutters everywhere. Appreciate the help.
The reason CS isn’t launching remains unclear—details are mentioned above.

Attempted to reinstall by re-downloading. Consider using DxWebSetup from Microsoft and restarting the game. Missing certain DX9 files could be the issue.
