CSGO MOUSE INPUT LAG / SLUGGISH
CSGO MOUSE INPUT LAG / SLUGGISH
I'm experiencing significant input lag in Counter-Strike (CS) – specifically when playing CS:GO. My mouse feels delayed and sluggish, making it difficult to track targets accurately. This issue is predominantly present during competitive matches like those on Faceit with a ~3300 elo rank. I’ve tried numerous troubleshooting steps including reinstalling Windows, adjusting compatibility settings, modifying launch options (adding `-noforcemaccel`), changing mouse sensitivity settings, updating drivers, and even experimenting with raw_input. My PC specs are: i5 7500, ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, ASUS PRIME B250-PRO MOBO, ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10 2x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz, Seagate ST2000DM008-2FR102 HDD, and an ADATA SU800 SSD. I’m unsure of the exact wattage of my PSU. The problem seems persistent despite these efforts, leading me to consider potential hardware issues like a failing PSU or electrical problems in my home.
I have a 27-inch LG curved Ultrawide monitor with G-Sync. It’s typically set to its native 144Hz refresh rate. I usually enable VSync, but I sometimes disable it for specific games or when troubleshooting display issues. It's a fairly high-end model and generally performs very well, though I have occasionally experienced some minor flickering that seems tied to the resolution or external factors.
Did you limit fps manually using command? That's what i meant.
The text describes a situation where someone experienced lag or performance issues while playing Counter-Strike (CS:GO) but not in other games like Call of Duty (COD). The problem was eventually traced to a faulty power supply causing instability, leading to the purchase of a new CPU, motherboard, and RAM. The speaker highlights their familiarity with CS:GO's input system and why it felt more noticeable than in COD. They also mention a planned update for CS:GO to improve its input feel by the end of 2020.
