CS:GO Lags in offline mode
CS:GO Lags in offline mode
I'm dealing with a situation where playing deathmatch with bots causes my FPS to plummet from 200-300 down to 50-60, accompanied by frequent frame drops when there are more than nine bots online (the default for deathmatch). As shown in the screenshot:
no core on the CPU stays at 100%
GPU isn't at full capacity
VRAM usage isn't at 100%
RAM isn't at 100%
On a server with 63 players, I usually see around 200 FPS.
But in this case, it drops to only 60 FPS, which is stuttering and doesn't have any bottlenecks elsewhere...
Anyone have any suggestions?
Bots in Source engine games significantly impact the frame rate, especially when running on the client side, similar to what you're experiencing. This issue isn't limited to CS:GO; Team Fortress 2 also faces challenges due to the same inefficiencies of the Source engine.
The issue might be due to a core not reaching 100% utilization, and the 9% limit could apply specifically to your device.
There is a command to adjust the bot limit. There are instructions available in the console for nearly all functions.
It's about the point where lag begins, as I mentioned it occurs when there are more than 9 bots. I didn't say it lags specifically at 9 bots.
It's accurate, and based on what I understand, CS:GO typically uses 2-3 cores. However, in my case, not all cores are at full capacity...this raises questions about whether the source engine is capable of handling it. In my development environment, I can access 23 additional assets without experiencing lag, which suggests it works smoothly under these conditions.
Since Task Manager doesn't accurately show core usage for Source games, and considering Source's approach,
