CS:GO is functioning, however, it fails to start.
Here’s what occurred:
I initiate “play” for CSGO within Steam. The game listing in my library indicates “Running,” and my profile icon turns green. It continues indefinitely. I resolve this by:
Accessing the task manager to terminate the process. However, I can only close the "CSGO" task through the “Details” tab—not the “Processes” tab.
I’ve attempted the following solutions:
Validated the game's cache
Adjusted compatibility settings
Deleted the “Valve.rc” file
Executed “dxsetup.exe” for a DirectX reinstall
Reinstalled the game itself
Reinstalled Windows
Updated all drivers (including chipset and graphics card drivers)
Important Note:
The computer is being started for the very first time today, immediately after assembly. Other games like DayZ, PUBG, and all other titles launch without issue.
System Specifications:
Radeon RX 5700 XT
Ryzen 9 3900X
16 gb of GDDR6 RAM
[Resolution]
Navigate to “Uninstall a Program”
Remove the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver from your system
Restart your computer
Attempt to launch CSGO now!
This issue appears to be specifically related to this one game.
What's the newest motherboard and graphics card drivers?
Is your operating system current?
The windows have been newly fitted, and I also updated the newest chipset driver today.
