CSGO has some frustrating FPS issues.
Hey everyone, after going through all this recent changes to the CS setup a few months ago, my system really started acting up. Used to run smoothly at 300-400 FPS, now it’s hovering around 220 and sometimes drops below 144 depending on what’s in front of the screen. That’s frustrating because it really affects gameplay. I’m using a 144Hz monitor, an i5-3550 CPU, a GTX 1060 6GB GPU, 8GB RAM at 1600MHz, and a 500GB 860 EVO SSD. All in-game settings are set to the lowest, multi-core rendering is on, and I’m using 1280x1024 resolution. Launch options are active. I tried Scaleform, but the issue still exists. This isn’t just a minor glitch—watching old Shadowplay replays shows a noticeable difference.
Verify your fps_max in the console and set it to 999. Panorama adjusted it back to the default for many users.
Could the USB sound card be the issue? I rely on it since my motherboard isn’t producing enough volume for my Kraken.
