That's the method I use to achieve 144 FPS in Fortnite and OW.

Hey there! I found out that pressing the right shift key while holding it down causes my frame rate to jump from 90 to 144. Do you know why this happens? And if you're looking for ways to keep it steady, let me know!

Actually, I notice the 322 FPS shown on Fortnight while I'm running at 75hz, which seems like a joke. 😉
In CS:GO, there isn't any scripted behavior tied to that key affecting FPS changes.

It seems odd. I'm checking for any issues with the keybindings.

After adjusting the settings, I discovered the Radeon Chill feature was active. When I turned it off, my frame rate exceeded 100, often reaching around 117 or even above 130 for a few seconds before dropping back to about 117. I’m aware my PC can handle up to 200 frames, but I’m unsure how to achieve this. I haven’t encountered any viruses or malware since setting up the PC a week ago and only playing games. I’m trying to improve the frame rate to at least 200, but I don’t know what to do. I’ve also checked various solutions without success. Additionally, the shift effect disappeared after disabling Radeon Chill.

Verify the console type
Press LSHIFT and confirm the message shows what is bound for that key.
Use "unbind lshift" then navigate to Options → Keyboard & Mouse → Bind WASD to Shift.
Test this change.

If it doesn’t work, attempt reinstalling the game.
First remove the game, then go to C:\Program Files (86x)\Steam\userdata.
In the folder there should be a numbered directory. If two exist, move to YouTube and search for instructions on locating your account in userdata.
There are many videos explaining this process.

If only one folder is open, locate the 730 folder and delete it. This is the CSGO bindings folder created during the first download.
Check for additional CSGO folders; remove them if present.
Reinstall the game and see if the issue resolves.

Hey, thanks for the tip but I experimented a bit with the settings. It seems the Radeon chill setting in my GPU configuration was causing the issue. My FPS went up from 90 to 117, sometimes reaching over 130 and holding for about five seconds. Do you know any way to keep it consistently above 150? I think it’s achievable given my build. Thanks!

We are discussing 1080p-144Hz, not 1440p-144Hz.
