hey guys! I'm new here and I didn't know where this question would fit into so I'm just gonna put it here. in CSGO I average around 90-110 fps but I want to get up to 144 fps because I know its possible but I tried everything I could to increase it to atleast 134 fps but nothing works. I watched this video that came out 2 months ago and this guy buildta pc that costed $500 and averaged around 178 fps and that's wayyyy more frames than I get in my $1000 build. I don't want to OC beacuse this is my first ever build and I don't want to ruin anything and I have XFR on for my cpu anyways. here are my specs:
-Ryzen 5 2600x
-Radeon Rx580 8gb Armor OC
-16 gb 3200MHz ddr4 ram
-MSI b450 tomahawk Mobo
-650 watt Evga gold rated G3 PSU
Also overwatch and fortnite run at 144 FPS most of the time and if not then >130 FPS so Is only csgo.
someone please help!!

Confirm if your RAM operates precisely at 3200mhz and functions in dual-channel configuration.

It's operating at 3200 but I'm unsure how to verify if it's using dual channel. Additionally, Overwatch and Fortnite typically run at 144 FPS most of the time, and if not, it should be above 130 FPS.

In CSGO I'm maintaining around 300fps using an i7-3770K @ 4.6GHz and an Asus gtx970 @ 128% OC. The Ryzen 2600x performs better in IPC compared to the 3770k, but that game runs smoother with two cores at higher speeds. Considering the current fps and CPU capabilities, I don’t think there’s a hardware problem—I’m more likely facing software or configuration issues. Factors like the Windows Game Bar, antivirus programs, Xbox DVR, or pre-rendered frames can affect older games negatively. With this setup, you should be consistently hitting well above 200fps (possibly higher). YouTube clips only display what’s achievable, not what’s realistic. The person making the video has a clean system optimized for gaming, not general Windows use.

I don't have an AMD GPU, but you do, so adjustments might be made in the software—look for global options if available. In Windows, try the balanced power plan and ensure Ryzen master settings are applied. Disable the game bar and any Xbox DVR-related configurations. Launch the game, open the task manager or processes tab, locate the CSGO process and adjust its priority.

Use the default cleaner tool, then the registry tool (accepting the backup option), and run them sequentially until everything is clean. Also, execute malwarebytes and Antivirus, as they serve different purposes—malware vs virus. If games are on an HDD, verify the defrag status (avoid defragging SSDs).

Visit the MSI website to confirm you have the most recent chipset motherboard drivers, including audio, LAN, USB, and BIOS if necessary.

YouTube tutorials often cover similar steps, though some settings might differ, such as AA or physX configurations. Explore forums and web resources for game-specific patches, GPU tweaks, or ini script modifications to optimize performance. There are many CSGO patches already available via Steam, but others may not be present.
