I'm a CSGO player and used to have around 200-250 fps on any map (5vs5 gamemode). About 2 weeks ago something happened and my fps dropped to 130-150 and sometimes i get 80-90 (it hurts because i have a 144hz monitor).I really don't know what happened, i reinstalled windows, i tried to use every single fix from youtube videos, i tried to play on a smaller resolution but i still get 130-150 fps.I used to be able to play on primary monitor and watch youtube on the second one but now i cannot do that because of the fps.
PC Specs:
MOBO: Asus H81M-K
CPU: Intel i5 4460 @ 3.2 ghz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 2GB OC Windforce
RAM: HyperX Savage 12GB 1600 mhz
SSD: Intel E5400S 120GB
CPU Usage while playing is around 80% but sometimes it even goes up to 100% and the temp is around 50-55 C(stock intel cooler). I really think the CPU is the problem. Please help me
🙁

Hmm that's weird af. Try some launch commands. And as in the CPU being at 50. You could try reinstalling csgo. Sometimes that could help. I will look into it a bit more.

This text discusses the need for a computer cooler, cleaning supplies, and potentially reinstalling software, likely in pursuit of better performance or resolving an issue. It includes a reference to adjusting specific settings related to memory management and frequency scaling, hinting at a complex troubleshooting process. The speaker intends to provide an update tomorrow regarding their progress.

Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and conciseness:

“I was experiencing overheating issues with my computer while gaming, resulting in high CPU temperatures (50-55°C). After extensive troubleshooting – including reinstalling Windows and researching potential fixes online – I realized the problem stemmed from an inadequate CPU cooler. Specifically, the stock Intel cooler wasn’t sufficient for handling the heat generated by my processor during demanding tasks. To resolve this, I purchased a DeepCool Gammax 300 cooler. This relatively inexpensive upgrade significantly reduced temperatures to around 30-35°C. As a result, my frame rates jumped to 200-250 FPS, and the overheating issue was completely eliminated. It’s remarkable how much of an impact a small component change like this could have.”
