CS:GO fps drop problems
CS:GO fps drop problems
I’m experiencing significant and inconsistent frame rate drops in a game, despite consistently achieving high frame rates (200 fps on average) during benchmarks. The dips occur primarily when there are multiple explosive effects or visual obstructions like smoke grenades, especially on the Inferno B-site map. My 144Hz monitor doesn't display the full potential of my hardware due to these drops. I’ve run multiple FPS benchmarks and recently noticed a significant decline in my GPU’s performance rating by UserBenchmark, along with an improvement in my HDD’s rating. I suspect a bottleneck caused by my CPU (i5-7400) or perhaps driver issues. My temperatures are within acceptable ranges (CPU around 40°C, GPU around 60°C). My system specs include: i5-7400 CPU, ASrock Z270 Pro4 motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Crucial CT275MX300SSD1 275GB SSD, Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB HDD, GTX 1060 6GB GPU, Cooler Master MasterWatt 750 PSU, Sharkoon AI7000 Glass chassis, and Windows 10. Could you advise on whether the CPU is causing a bottleneck for the GPU?
