CSGO disabling fullscreen optimalisation
CSGO disabling fullscreen optimalisation
Hi guys, i have a question. In csgo when i have UNCHECKED disabling fullscreen optimalisation my average fps on workshop fps test map is 317 everything on low. But when i CHECK the disabling fullscreen optimalisation my average fps are 500. But when i have it checked the screen doesn't feel smoother. So UNCHECKED-lower fps, more smooth in lower fps. CHECKED-higher fps, less smooth in lower fps(160). Is that normal? It's happening only in csgo. The difference is so huge. By the way i have ryzen 5 3600, rtx 2070 and 144hz monitor (gsync turned off in csgo because of input lag) thanks for any help
These full screen improvements aim to give a game in Borderless Window mode the impression of being in Full Screen Exclusive mode. For more details, see the article at the provided link.
Borderless fullscreen compatibility varies across many titles, which is why fullscreen optimization comes into play—it balances both aspects. Ensuring it works properly typically increases frame rates and reduces screen gaps, leading to fewer dropped frames and a smoother visual experience. Gsync should minimize noticeable lag when functioning correctly. To maintain performance, cap the frame rate at -1 fps below the refresh rate using the FPS command in CS.
I was accustomed to playing CSGO often, so I can notice every small variation when something goes wrong. It just feels more noticeable on my mouse with G-Sync.
Thanks for your answer.
