So, I just got a 7 day ban for no reason. It seems to me that there is no competitive ban cool down whatsoever because I received the ban for being kicked too often and the last time I got kicked was 5 days ago due to my parents needing me for something. Is it just me or this ridiculous because I'm getting really mad at these stupid bans.
VAC bans are completely acceptable. If caught cheating, it should be treated as a non-reversible permanent ban. Regarding banks for CS, I have no clue if they are integrated into the game or if the developers retain control.
The 7-day bans aren't given randomly. You need to progress through them within a specific timeframe (around 7 days). The number of times you're removed usually indicates something is amiss. Occasional removals don't mean much, but a weekly occurrence might signal an issue. A short cooldown—just an hour—means you're getting a quick warning. Fix the problem and try again.
It could be a mistake or an error, similar to being caught mid-air in Minecraft. But you ended up falling too quickly by accident.
Overwatch is a problematic setup. It seems like the process is straightforward but contains many weaknesses. Initially, joining the Overwatch list depends on meeting specific conditions—like rapid ranking improvements or reaching Gold Nova III. When reports come in, demos are drawn from the last eight matches and assigned to a random participant as a juror. To qualify, you need at least 150 competitive matches, but your rank or performance doesn’t influence the selection; it’s just a fixed number of matches played. The jurors evaluate different aspects—whether you were griefing or hacking—and if enough of them accuse you of griefing, you face a seven-day ban. Choosing to accuse hacking results in a permanent ban. This system is flawed because not everyone can consistently view demos or recognize hacking behavior. Permanent bans only get overturned when players publicly stream their gameplay and upload recordings to platforms like YouTube.
If you understand the notice about a match lasting up to 90 minutes and penalties being issued, it's okay. I usually avoid playing during the day so I can leave if needed. Just play within the time limit, or switch to casual games otherwise.
I get your perspective, but I've been playing 10 matches since my last ban. It's confusing why that wouldn't clear the restrictions.
