I don't know the exact method, but you can check if the game supports 144Hz directly in the settings or control panel. If not, look for options related to refresh rate or resolution scaling within the CCC. It may not adjust automatically unless it's enabled by default.

Are you sure you don’t have to adjust anything else? Just changed the refresh rate to 144 in the Nvidia Control Panel.

It changes automatically based on your desktop refresh rate. At 144Hz it runs games at maximum speed unless you limit the frame rate. If your system achieves 200fps, you’re effectively seeing 144 frames per second.
