I came from Xbox with a USB controller and tried the same setup. CSGO isn't designed for controller use, and playing with one will make you fall far behind in even casual matches, preventing you from enjoying it. Personally, I don't recommend it. Xbox controllers work well for certain games (like Skyrim), but they're not suitable here.

I faced the same issue here. Here’s how to resolve it: drop the controller, then return to using the keyboard and mouse. That should get you back into the global elite. You’re welcome in advance!
