I also enjoy playing MC and would like to (when I can afford it) start GTA5.

Choose an i3/i5 processor and a 2-3GB graphics card. The exact options depend on your budget.

You can't swap the GPU or CPU in a laptop, so I'll be getting a desktop instead. I'm planning to build it myself.

With a budget of 350BP, think about using refurbished parts and aim for an i5 with a 2-3GB GPU (such as R9 270, R9 280, GTX 770, or GTX 960). If you prefer brand new, an i3 paired with a 750ti would be ideal. However, I suggest opting for an i5 first—it’s more durable and easier to upgrade later than changing the CPU.

You could create a setup for $400 and play CS:GO, as it’s one of the simplest games to run.

It's a game with a source, you don't need anything fancy to play at 60+

It's a solid budget setup you've created. I saw that CS:GO caps at around 300 frames per second.
