It's 10 wins, at 2 possible wins a day to determine your rank, with each consecutive win you get placed into a higher skill group which I don't remember the exact numbers but if you wanna know what rank you are roughly at just look at the other people's ranks at the end of the game and you'll see where you currently are. I know that the best possible rank you can get is Supreme Master First Class and the worst is obviously Silver one. If you play with other people that are already ranked it will generally set you in that rank assuming you win, so for example play with 4 other nova masters will probably lock you in nova. CS:GO basically determines your rank by win/loss ratio within those 10 games and how you do slightly affects it as well. @Ebony Falcon Edit: You can also just not play and I think there is a set time limit until it just removes the lock of max of 2 wins but you'll probably end up in a low rank if you do that.
