CS6 Premier Pro - Variable frame rate workaround?
CS6 Premier Pro - Variable frame rate workaround?
Hey there, I’ve faced a similar issue with editing variable frame rate videos in Adobe Premiere. It seems the software isn’t optimized for casual or mobile use, which can cause problems like audio cutting off mid-video. You’ve already tried re-encoding with Handbrake, but that didn’t resolve it. There might be alternative solutions or workarounds you haven’t considered. Let’s see if we can find one before deciding to switch to another tool like Sony Vegas. Thanks!
It's regrettable, but I think I'll need to rely on Sony Vegas for my fast shots.
See if there is just a way to over ride it and tell it its what ever fps constant. You could re transcode with x264 and lock it do a constant frame rate easily enough but you will loose quality. The other option would be to encode it to a lossless codec like huffyuv or lagarith then edit it and encode it. There also may be a way to just change the metadata on the file so that its cfr instead of vfr because that really is just tag and as long as it was actually shat at a cfr you would be fine.
