Hi everyone, I recently gained access to the CS2 beta and was really excited. Still, I encountered a problem that hasn't been resolved yet—I'm hoping someone can assist me. After playing CSGO for over 3,000 hours, the game runs smoothly on my system, but CS2 feels unstable. It's running choppy, especially when I move quickly or turn around. I'm using a 240Hz monitor, but it seems to be displaying around 60 or 75Hz, which bothers me. My setup includes: a Ryzen 5700X, 32GB RAM, the game on an M2 SSD, and an RTX 3070. I've tried several fixes so far: updating drivers, adjusting refresh rates, tweaking video settings, enabling low latency in the Nvidia control panel, and reinstalling the game. The only clue that stands out is my frame rate might be set too high. I've attached a printscreen for reference. Would anyone have ideas? I'm open to suggestions and will report this to the CS2 team, though it could be an individual issue. Thanks for your help! Best, MasterDisaster

Ensure MSI is installed after Burner + RTSS, and activate the frametime graph for optimal results. This game is still in its initial phase, so performance will improve over time. What are your preferences? Consider reducing the settings slightly. It might be the advanced GPU culling feature causing this effect.

GPU culling is unclear to me. I adjusted the settings but didn’t notice much improvement. Even with maximum settings, I’m still seeing around 250 frames per second. I’ll run Afterburner and RTSS tests later today and share the results. Appreciate your input.

Frametime issues can indicate various problems. If you're seeing +250 fps, it seems unlikely you need to worry about frametime. Are there background processes running? Check your CPU usage. Also, advanced GPU culling is available in Source 2, where rays are projected from the player's eyes and only visible objects are processed. This method reduces geometry for objects offscreen, potentially boosting FPS—but it can also cause performance drops if movement triggers heavy calculations. It's unclear whether this will actually harm your experience, and I might be overreacting. You can experiment with these settings yourself. Check out the video from 3kliksphilip for more guidance, especially regarding optimizations.

Unless you're a top-tier pro with frame times between 8 to 12ms, it's unlikely to be noticeable as a stutter. The visual output only reflects the last four seconds, possibly missing when stutters happen. Afterburner or RTSS records data over a longer span, which could capture any spikes.

I set up MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner, both familiar with their features. Despite that, I’m still facing issues. All the graphs appear in the monitoring section, but frame rates and timing data are missing. I included two screenshots to clarify the problem. I attempted to turn on benchmark mode, yet nothing altered. I’m unsure what’s causing this and wonder if it’s connected to the setup.

It will be blank unless you're using a 3D environment. You need to start the game for it to begin recording.

CS2 remains in early access, with discussions about whether Nvidia reflex settings improve or worsen latency across different configurations. Personally, on a 360Hz display, I notice “jitter” when reflex is enabled. Despite playing CSGO for over five years, I clearly perceive the difference.

It could be real, I haven't disabled it yet. I'll try it and let you know what I see. Yes, I understand but the graph still doesn't appear even when the game is running and benchmarks are active.

Nvidia reflex has improved significantly. Your feedback is appreciated! It’s not quite smooth as CSGO yet, but it could be due to the game. Since it's still in early access, updates are likely coming soon.
