Hi everyone, I play at 1920x1080 with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Some of my CS:GO friends might be using 1280x720, but that's not standard. My CS:GO rank is currently solid at the top tier. LEM here.

They enjoy the setting because it seems to increase model size or boost frame rate. They mentioned playing CSGO only a few times and using medium settings at 1080p. No rank was mentioned.

I haven't got that game yet, but I'd enjoy playing it at a standard HD resolution (1920x1080) once I have my GTX 1080. Playing at 144+FPS might be what your friends prefer for smoother performance. I'm just starting out, so I'm at the lowest level.

You resize the small image to fit a 1080p resolution.

They're already achieving over 300 fps at full HD with maximum settings. They use a 970 GTX graphics card.

I really don't recall ever playing CSGO at that high setting... But sure, you can go up to 1080p. Many competitive players use 1280x1024 and adjust it.

Individuals engage in this activity because they think the models would become slightly larger. They play at that specific resolution (though I can't confirm rn) since they were accustomed to it in CS 1.6, or because the vertical and horizontal sensitivity remains consistent (just guessing).

Playing at 1050P recently felt quite satisfying because of the sharper pixel density, compared to my 1080P at 60Hz.
