I recall they mentioned after the trilogy release that they have concepts and strategies for a future Crysis title. It would bring a fresh perspective, which is thrilling. I don’t expect Crysis 4, but it’s likely something new in terms of story or mechanics. Also, I hope the next installment gives more emphasis on the multiplayer aspect—it was such an exciting experience with the suit mode.

I won't be optimistic about it. Crysis Remastered fell short, almost seems like a rushed release.

I think it's a step forward. Unless earlier teams at Crytek, this is just one generation behind in GPUs, I’m confident a 4080 card will handle it effortlessly.

Crysis Wars was an excellent title. Massive open areas, solid tactical depth in the gameplay, and I’d love to experience something like that again. Yet, I question whether today’s Crytek can deliver anything comparable.

Check if the 3090 can handle Crysis. Keep an eye out for updates.

I notice how ray tracing in software feels so inefficient in Crysis Remastered compared to the smooth performance of RTGI shaders in ReShade, especially with multiple effects added without any hardware optimization. Although it's a screen-space technique, I'm puzzled about why it causes such a significant performance hit when real ray tracing is enabled. When you experience RTGI in action, it doesn't really matter to you since the visuals feel so authentic thanks to realistic lighting within your view. Maybe I could enhance existing Crysis titles by integrating RTGI myself, making them truly next-generation. Unless Crytek decides to launch a completely new game instead of just focusing on battle royale titles, I'd still appreciate a fresh, proper entry from this series.

DOOM 3 had around 600K players in 2004. Skyrim boasts over 46 million users as of 2012, while Crysis launched in 2007 with roughly one million. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune reportedly contains about 2 million lines of code and debuted in 2007. I struggled to locate similar numbers for other titles from that year, such as Halo 3, God of War 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2, Assassin's Creed, and Bioshock.

And more importantly since when does more code mean a better game? If anything, an identical game done with less code is probably a sign it's better optimized.

No one is referencing any references. It seems entirely based on assumptions.
