Crysis trilogy vs Mass Effect trilogy
Crysis trilogy vs Mass Effect trilogy
Because... well, it just didn’t stick. After a while, the game loses its appeal. I’ve played enough of Crysis 2 and 3 to know what I’m talking about—they’re solid but eventually fade. I don’t remember much about the story or what comes next. It feels repetitive: move around, take things, repeat the cycle. Even when bored, I’d rather close my computer than keep going. Reading is better, but it doesn’t matter if I enjoy it.
You're suggesting adding puzzles to every shooter or adventure game, which would cover a lot. While I'm not saying any game is great, Crysis 1 does have some gameplay, and revisiting Mass Effect could be fun if you haven't played it yet. Most games fall short in this regard.
I understand my part in this, but some titles stand out more than others. The Crysis lineup mainly attracts a small group of players, and even Crysis 3 struggled to maintain interest after just a couple of months. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, just not what I enjoy. Mass Effect, on the other hand, consistently impresses me for its storytelling. I’ve spent a lot of time with Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim—over 2000 hours combined. Adding PC and 360 versions of Mass Effect makes it even more impressive than TES. Some people dislike the series, just like Crysis doesn’t fit everyone’s taste.
I found Mass Effect 1's narrative quite sluggish after playing once, and the combat feels much worse in the first installment than in the second. I've retried the game three times to complete it using the same save, but I haven't succeeded yet.
If you enjoy a movie where your choices matter and the plot unfolds grandly, try Mass Effect. For those craving intense action and solid gameplay, Crysis offers an immersive experience with a story that feels impactful. Gameplay can be average in both titles.
Well, those early Crysis and Warhead titles were quite enjoyable. I struggled to finish Crysis 2 completely and never played Crysis 3. Observations suggest the series saw its gameplay decline while graphics improved with each release. At least Crysis 2 feels less engaging compared to Crysis 1 plus Warhead. I appreciated the more expansive open-world style of Crysis 1 and Warhead. For Mass Effect, since you've already explored them—especially if you still own them—it might be worth getting them only if you're aiming for a future-proof save option in case you decide to move away from your Xbox. That’s how I generally think about purchasing PC games.
In computer games, the Crysis series isn’t even worth comparing to the Mass Effect series. The main challenge here is that you’ve already played Mass Effect.
