Some unexpected updates have emerged. We hadn't anticipated a completely new crisis game, as Crytek has been focused on releasing various remasters of the entire trilogy recently, and the studio has been in a tough phase lately. However, the official Twitter account confirms that CRYSIS 4 is indeed in progress, though specific details remain unclear at this stage. We'll keep sharing more information if media sources provide further insights.

It's worth noting that Crytek has now officially confirmed its plans to develop the fourth entry in the Crysis series.

A new teaser video and logo have been released on social media, featuring the message "Join the journey. Become the hero". It seems Crysis 4 might not be launching soon—perhaps a few more years are needed, considering the extensive development time for such a major AAA title (unless it's already underway). The game may also demand the latest high-end GPUs, such as Nvidia LOVELACE and RDNA3 models, to fully utilize its settings.

The developers will likely use the next version of CRYENGINE.
Can It run CRYSIS 4 MEME here?! 😛

Update. The official statement from CRYTEK and its CEO highlights the serious commitment to the upcoming next-generation Crysis title. It also hints at the ongoing development process and the importance of community feedback. To reference Avni Yerli:
"The project is still in its initial phases, but we’re excited about what’s ahead. We value your input and are dedicated to delivering a polished experience. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward."

Not much to hint at for a graphics expert, but I just wish Cervat’s departure as CEO several years back has brought them back to a more balanced approach with better business judgment and greater care for their team.

Yeah, sadly that teaser clip doesn't really give much insight into the game. I just wish they would emphasize more on the Single Player campaign instead of Multiplayer/Co-op/PvPVvE, as they did with 'Hunt: Showdown'.
Honestly, I'm not really excited about all this teaser hype, and I'm also not confident the developers will deliver a good next-gen Crysis title. Crytek seems to be struggling lately, lol.

They are definitely making an effort to take feedback from the fans seriously, which is encouraging.

Yeah, I understand that's a positive sign, considering these developers changed the FPS genre by launching Crysis 1. They seem open to feedback from both the community and modders. However, I don't feel it's wise to hold high expectations for any future Crysis title given the current state of the gaming industry.

These developers are indeed skilled, but the recent "Remastered" series has made me question their abilities. The Crysis 1 remaster was riddled with bugs and glitches, both in gameplay and graphics. Compared to the original Crysis 1 enhanced with mods, it still feels less polished. Even though the remaster looks impressive, its high GPU demands don't justify it. It also struggles with CPU optimization and causes stuttering, despite all the updates.

Additionally, it misses some of the visual elements from the original 2007 PC version. In the remaster, grenades no longer affect bushes, and trees and bushes lack the dynamic movement they had before. While this isn't a major issue for everyone, it does change the experience.

Personally, I still hope for Crysis 4, but let's be realistic about graphics. The visuals are decent overall, with detailed characters and beautiful environments. The new textures look good, though some original textures appear blurry or low resolution. The game's interactivity and destruction remain impressive, even if they're less intense than the original.

Of course, my RX 480 clearly struggles to keep a smooth frame rate on my PC, which is frustrating. I experienced significant stuttering during gameplay, unlike the original vanilla version. It seems the remaster might be very GPU-intensive, but it still needs further optimization.

Yeah, the current state of game development is really disappointing, particularly when you notice big teams like Rockstar handling such a poor remake of the original GTA series.
I think most developers believe they can produce anything they want these days, since many customers are now accepting lower quality due to the pandemic.
The interesting part is that I used to argue it was reasonable because we were still dealing with the pandemic, but lately I just see them exploiting their customers.

Yeah, the GTA remastered trilogy was a mess! It's disappointing that most game developers nowadays seem so unskilled and unmotivated. I believe some fan-made modifications actually perform better than the remastered versions.
In reality, these so-called "remasters" are merely a fast way for developers or publishers to cash in, hoping people will follow the trend, just like blind followers or fans. Or perhaps it's driven by the excitement around these releases.
This is why I think companies are releasing such subpar and poorly optimized PC games these days, even though not every developer is bad. Some are decent, but most of the industry still struggles with talented and serious game teams. Another reason might be that releasing a battle royale title offers a quick way to earn money and boost sales.
Even if Crytek launches a crisis-related game online, I'm sure it would sell well, lol. I never really understood this obsession with battle royale or online games. CS:GO still tops Steam and overall sales charts, just like PUBG, Fortnite, and Apex Legends, despite being free-to-play titles.
I only play single-player offline games that offer a strong story, engaging mechanics, replay value, and emotional depth. So I don't understand why so many players prefer battle royale or online-only experiences. It's probably just a matter of personal taste and preference, and I can't blame anyone for that either.
But still, the fact that so many gamers are jumping onto this bandwagon is really surprising.

I'm quite taken aback by how some of my favorite gaming experiences, especially on refined releases, are now emerging from Sony PC ports, like Days Gone and God of War. These games hold up well against many other unreliable titles, though Days Gone didn't achieve strong sales to warrant a sequel.

It appears this shift is linked to the upcoming generation of gamers who quickly get excited about colorful or stylized games such as Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends. They often seek easy ways to enjoy gaming with friends, and it can even create a sense of peer pressure if classmates play similar titles.

Yeah, actually both of these games are pretty solid PC versions and worth trying. They also offer a solid storyline and replay value. GOD OF WAR received great feedback from both players and reviewers. Even Days Gone is really good. I still need to finish this one as soon as possible. I plan to tackle it after starting Halo Infinite.
Btw, these are some of the main advantages I see in the God of War game from my perspective.
