I was trying to understand why Crysis 3 wouldn't run smoothly at very high settings with low anti-aliasing. After checking some resources, I found that my system should handle the highest settings at 4K and 60fps. However, I'm still struggling to maintain stable 60fps even in 1080p. My setup includes an i5-7640x processor clocked at 4.50GHz, upgraded to 5.01GHz with liquid cooling, an 8GB RX580 card, and 16GB RAM on an MSI X299 SLI Plus Mobo. I've also tested Windows 7 and 8 compatibility modes without success. My reported performance ranges from 45-50 at Very High, 50-75 at High, 70-80 at Medium, and 80-100 at Low settings.

Have you updated the drivers? Which version of Windows are you running?

4k 60fps demands significant performance, and it's uncertain if a 1080ti will handle every title smoothly. I'm not comfortable with AMD graphics cards, but the RX580 seems to match the capabilities of a GTX 1070. My 1070 would struggle to reach 60fps in most modern games at 4k resolution.

You're on Windows 10, and your GPU performance is roughly comparable to a 1070 at 580 MHz. You're using 1080p resolution and have the latest drivers installed.
