Arch really pushed me, but I gave it a shot last Saturday. After thinking it through, I figured my errors were small and could’ve been fixed easily. So, go Arch—it’s enjoyable, even if things don’t always go perfectly.

Navigating arch installations can be challenging, but it's definitely a common experience. What kind of configuration were you aiming for? I'm using Arch and AwesomeWM.

A simple desktop environment was created using X and Cinnamon. X worked correctly, but I made a mistake elsewhere.

It's true, working with cutting-edge systems like Arch can have some drawbacks. Since these are still developing, certain updates might lead to issues. For those seeking a stable and dependable Linux setup, I generally steer clear of Arch-based distributions unless you're very experienced with troubleshooting. Arch is certainly an interesting project worth exploring. Over the past six months, I've evaluated around 35 distributions—ranging from Ubuntu and Debian to RPM and Arch. I've tried them, used them in virtual environments, and noticed each has its own advantages and challenges.
