You have comparable headroom with the same headset on both setups using PBO. The choice of cooler depends on performance needs—opt for a 360mm model if you want better results. Consider the X570 if it matches your requirements, especially if the X470 has a newer BIOS and a more affordable alternative exists. PCPartPicker lists various options with prices and details to help you decide.

I’d take out the PSU, you won’t need a 750w one. Save the cash to buy a 1TB SSD. Everything else seems okay. I generally prefer not to use AIO coolers, so I’d opt for an air cooler instead.

PCPartPicker list includes a CPU, cooler, motherboard, memory, storage, graphics card, case, power supply, and pricing details. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is priced around $174.99 with Amazon, while the Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler costs $84.46 on Amazon. The Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS ATX motherboard is listed at $164.99 on Newegg. Memory comes from G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB DDR4-3600 at $82.99, and the Sabrent Rocket 1 TB M.2 NVME drive is available for $149.99 on Amazon. The internal hard drive mentioned is a Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 5400RPM model at $86.37 on Walmart. For graphics, the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB is priced at $489.99 on Newegg. The Corsair iCUE 465X RGB case is available for $129.99 on Amazon. The power supply is a Corsair RM (2019) 750W unit, gold-certified and modular, costing $124.99 from Corsair. Overall, the total comes to approximately $1488.76, with all prices including shipping and taxes. Some notes: the 3600 model is slightly overpriced but offers better cooling; the Dark Rock Pro 4 is cheaper yet performs well; upgrading to a 1TB SSD would provide more space.

I talked to a few salespeople in the area, and they keep recommending the Ryzen 2600 or 3600. It seems like everyone’s pushing that one. Just a hint from those mysterious caves!
