Hey! I purchased a brand new setup around September 2022, which included an RTX 3060 and teamgroup RAM (here’s the parts list link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/HexicDrago...iew=HDq8Q7). When trying to turn on XMP for the RAM, I encountered several blue screens. I chose to skip that and turned off XMP, continuing with normal settings. Recently, in May, I started noticing artifacts while using screen shares on Discord, gaming, or watching YouTube videos. It’s not constant; it seems more random, especially when I’m typing during a share (typing doesn’t affect the video playback). A screenshot has been saved showing these issues. I reached out to MSI support since I own an MSI Gaming X RTX 3060 and they confirmed I was under warranty. I submitted an RMA form today. I replaced my RTX 3060 with a GeForce GTX 1050 after uninstalling the old drivers via DDU, then reinstalled the GTX 1050 drivers. Now I’m experiencing the same artifacts again, even on this new GPU. I suspect the RAM might be the culprit, given the earlier problems, and that both GPUs are affected. Also, I changed my display cable to a fresh one without success. The artifacting appears on another monitor that uses HDMI. Any advice? I’m using Windows 11.

Other components of the computer might be involved.

You believe it still happens despite the blue screen from RAM during XMP activation. Other components might be responsible.

The RAM problem likely isn't the cause of the artifacts. Blue screens with XMP active suggest an unstable setup. Adjust the speed to match the specifications and identify a stable configuration. Also, confirm whether you reinstalled the drivers using DDU.

I installed DDU and removed the existing versions, after which I fetched the latest models from NVIDIA's site.

Try a different display cable, or better an entirely different monitor and cable. It’s an easy rule-out of the issue being either one of those. If two GPUs are doing it, it’s likely not the computer.

I also used another display cable, and the issue occurred with both the monitor and the HDMI one. It seems unlikely there are two monitors involved.

Could it become frozen during this process? A screenshot would help confirm if the issue appears on the display. If the pattern shows up on the screen, it’s likely GPU-related; otherwise, it might point to the motherboard or slot.
