Hello,
I’m a beginner setting up a PC for video editing, gaming, and AI image generation. My current setup is on a laptop without a dedicated GPU.
My budget falls between $2000 and $2500, and I’m based in the USA.
By the way, I don’t like RGB lighting (I’ll cover the glass with black gaff tape 😉).
Here’s what I have assembled:

PC Parts List
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K 3 GHz 24-Core Processor
($470.71 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
($116.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z790-H GAMING WIFI ATX LGA1700
($249.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
($197.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Acer Predator GM7000 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
($134.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB
($849.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 216 ATX Mid Tower Case
($94.00 @ Newegg Sellers)
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS GX-1000 ATX 3.0 1000 W (80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular)
($139.99 @ Newegg)
Monitor: Dell G2724D 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz
($199.99 @ Dell Technologies)

Total: $2454.64

About the choices I made:
CPU – A powerful option for heavy tasks.
Cooler – Despite my aversion, I feel forced to use liquid cooling for this high-performance chip.
Motherboard – Asus ROG STRIX Z790-H is solid and fits my needs.
Memory – Plenty of RAM for editing work.
Storage – I’m hoping it’s reliable.
Video Card – The RTX 4070 Ti is top-notch and fits the price point.
Case – It’s well-reviewed but lacks dust filters; I’m open to suggestions if a better one exists.
Power Supply – I chose 1000W for safety, efficiency, and future flexibility.
Monitor – Already bought; saved with rewards.
Price note: I’m aiming to stay within the $2000-2500 range.

I’m new to this build and learning as I go. Thanks for any advice!

Would you like me to suggest a second NVMe SSD for preview caching and scratch disk using your video editing software?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Your setup is fine, but I recommend choosing the Samsung 990 Pro instead of the Acer drive and adding an extra SSD with lower capacity for the operating system, apps, and game launchers. You can use a large SSD (2TB or more) for your game library. Another SSD can serve as a scratch disk, and a final drive for your finished projects.

Yes, it is correct. I implemented a few adjustments since the original post was shared, and I aim to begin fresh. Thank you for the SSD guidance—I might receive another one.
