Creating a let's play video
Hey there, I'm just starting out with video making and planning to try it out tonight, likely for GTA Online. For software, I was thinking of using Fraps for gameplay, Windows Live Movie Maker for webcam and mic capture, and VideoPad for adding a face cam overlay. I plan to export everything and edit it together in Windows Live Movie Maker. My main question is whether this setup will actually work. I've checked various options, but from what I know, you can't overlay a face cam directly in Windows Movie Maker. Any suggestions for free alternatives would be really helpful—I just want to keep it cost-free!
Alternatively, you can utilize ShadowPlay to record everything without affecting your performance.
with your nvidia card, shadowplay handles everything smoothly without slowing things down like fraps.
Use OBS to capture your gameplay and webcam, then it will generate a video file automatically without needing to export everything manually.
You can capture everything using shadow play and then use a video editor like Movie Maker.
The sole approach the filmmaker will take is reducing the file size by removing elements such as an intro or text.
