I’d likely explore the FB Marketplace to discover newer options. Be careful of scams and avoid sending money. Consider cash transactions face-to-face at their location or in a public area. It’s also wise to watch a demonstration with a date-stamped item such as a newspaper, magazine, or phone screen.

Occasionally you might secure a good offer, but I'm still hesitant completely.

It's similar to purchasing a used item. You'd question whether there are any hidden issues or if it's been mistreated. The seller will provide XYZ, and it's up to you to verify if that's accurate and complete. Perhaps the PC has been taken to the grocery store several times a week by someone from Pasadena. Or maybe not.

We can offer little assistance regarding the seller's reliability, and even if they are trustworthy, the PC might still last only an hour or up to ten years after purchase—requiring a great deal of trust.
