I'm exploring a fresh setup and need to use components from the Ryzen 5000 lineup. The challenge is I don't have an AMD chip ready for updates and I'm unsure about the BIOS setup. I'm considering a B550 Mobo (currently evaluating the MSI MAG B550M BAZOOKA). If the BIOS supports AGESA 1.0.8.0, I can upgrade to the fully compatible version 1.1.0.0. Could you confirm whether the Mobo I order includes that BIOS version? Otherwise, I'd prefer to wait until a model explicitly supports Ryzen 5000, though I don't want to delay. Any advice from someone with more experience would be appreciated.

You see flashbacks of bios on that board, allowing updates even without a CPU.

It's great you checked the details! I saw a forum discussion from two years ago mentioning no AMD board offered that capability. After reviewing the manual, it seems accurate. Upgrade cycles really do move fast!
